Good Afternoon Peeps

Well I am blogging late and live today. I have spent a good part of today designing my card for Swaps at Onstage Live which is in Amsterdam next week. Onstage Live is where Demonstrators from Europe and around the world get together and have a Convention lasting 3 days long. We get to see the new Catalogue which will be launched in June. We are given gifts of free products, we are able to order products from the new Catalogue and we see presentations and get to do make and takes. We are in fact thoroughly spoilt by Stampin' Up, (Convention alone is a good enough reason for most Demonstrators to sign up without all the additonal discounts and perks we get from the Catalogue). Added to this we get to see old friends and make new friends, with the sweet bonus that we all share the same passion and hobby.... Stamping!!!! We all make a swap card, so for example I will make about 50 of one particular card and then I will swap with 50 people so I get 50 different cards back, the is one of the highlights for me as you get to have lots of different cards and it's great to see what other people have done with the Stampsets in the Catalogue, some of which I will already own. However, if you don't want to Swap you don't have to but on the other hand if you want to make more swaps you can... my friend made 450 Swaps for her !sr Convention.

Anyway here is the Card Parade for today.......

Card 1... It's those Chickens again.... this little beauty is from Michelle Rushing..... what a fab card. This chicken cracks me up. Don't forget tomorrow is the LAST day of Saleabration and you can only get these Chickens with a £45 spend from the Catalogue and then you get them ABSOLUTELY FREE!

Card 2 - Lift Me Up Bundle - with the Balloon DSP, this DSP comes FREE during Saleabration with a £45 spend. This card is courtesy of Michelle Hornback, & what a gorgeous card it is too.

Card 3 - uses the Beautiful You Stampset  and was made by Selene Siridowsky Kempton. I adore this set, whats not to love. I would buy this in a New York Minute, (if I didn't already have it). :)

Well that completes my Card Parade for today, I am off to carry on with my Swaps!
If you do wish to purchase any of the stampsets used on the cards, press on any of the  card piccies and it will take you through to my shop. You can even shop in your jammies! Whats not to

Good Morning Everyone

Well here it is ... with no further ado the card parade!

This fabulous card is by Suzanne Taylor using the Lift Me Up Bundle which can be found HERE. I love how Suzanne Has placed the balloons over an aperture with the Saleabration DSP behind. I haven't bought this set yet but the more I see the samples the more I think this is a must have. Yep... think I will treat myself because although this set may carry on over into the new Annual Catalogue, it will not be as a bundle, which means the current 10% reduction to purchase as a bundle will not be available.

This next card is by  Lynn Streifert using the Beautiful You stampset which can be found HERE. This stampset has been a run away success for Stampin' Up & when you see cards like this one you can see why. I love how Lynn has embossed the DSP (Designer Series Paper)  to give the panel some dimension and with the sentiment this card is a real winner for me... what do you think?

Lastly for today, are the Whenever I see these stamps, a song starts going through my head and the first line is "Ain't nobody here but us chickens.... ain't nobody here at all"...the thing is, that is all I can remember of the song... it is driving me If anybody can remember more or knows the title, please leave me a comment below and put me out of my misery.... :) This card is from Lisa Henderson, thank you Lisa. Now these beauties can be got FREE with a £45 spend in the catalogue BUT only until March 31st or until stocks run out. So I say grab 'em quick! I LOVE the chicken in the middle, check out his hair!

Well that is all for today.
Happy Stamping!

Good Morning everyone and Happy Sunday to you all.

A couple of days ago I showed you a card in pastel tones using the Special Reason bundle here.  As you can see for today's card I used the same bundle but changed up the colourway to black and gold which gives an altogether different effect, quite formal and elegant I think. I cut a peephole in the front of the cardbase and then cut a frame in gold foil, which I fixed over the peephole. I also used  gold foil to back the flower,  I stamped the greeting in black and embossed with clear powder on a piece of vellum. The striped banner is Pop of Pink DSP & I finished off with some gold sequins (retired).

The supplies, as usual, are listed below should you want to add any or all of the items to your stash.

If you have been following my blog you will no doubt know that we are coming to the end of Sale A Bration on 31st March...  In the next few days I am going to post up a PARADE of CARDS using stampsets that are in the Saleabration & Spring/Summer Occasions Catalogues. They are cards that I received from a  recent swap I took part in. So come back and take a look. You may see something you might... you know ... NEED...;)

Happy Stamping!

Morning Everyone

Special Reason was a stampset everyone received as a gift at Onstage Local Telford  back in November. It's hard to believe that was nearly 6 months ago. In a couple of weeks time I will be off to Amsterdam for Onstage Live....Yaay.  Anyway moving on, what a fab. stampset and bundle this is, I am loving it.

Here is my card.

As you can see the  Pool Party, Whisper White and Blushing Bride colour combination is subtle and soft with the Petal Burst embossing folder giving some texture to the Pool Party panel that the scalloped frame is on.
The framelits are great because they have both straight edge squares and scalloped edge squares in the same set, which makes it easy to add some interest to a frame.

The  2 flowers, are stamped in Blushing Bride &  Pool Party ink & cut out with the matching framelit. I love that the inks match the cardstock, it makes it so easy to get a polished look, to any card.

The white grosgrain ribbon adds some balance of white to the design as do
the white perfect accents in the middle of each flower.

This is a card that could be used for more occasions than a birthday. I always use lots of birthday and thank you cards but you could change the sentiment for the occasion to suite you.

The supplies, as always, are listed below should you need any or all of them click on the image and you will go straight to the item in my shop.

That's all for today

Morning Everyone

Well today I am here to show you the Petals and Paisley Suite. This isn't a new Suite but it is new to me. It didn't appeal to me at first but when I saw some of the cards people had made with it I changed my mind. It comes as a bundle which is always the best value at 10% off, so I took the plunge & I am glad I did!

Here is my card

I think this is such an elegant card, very restrained and understated. Perfect for a Sympathy card.

Here's how I made it.

Cut a piece of A4 Whisper White cardstock in half @ [5 7/8"]

Score at [4 1/8"] & use the cardbase landscape style.

Cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry Cardstock [5 1/2" x 3 1/2"]
Cut a piece of Petals and Paisley Speciality Designer Series Paper [5 3/8" x 3 3/8"] - this DSP is amazing and the piece I chose has copper foiled dots on it. Mat this DSP onto the Rich Razzleberry.

Cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry [1" x 5  7/8"]
Cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock [7/8" x 5 7/8"] Mat the V Vanilla Cardstock onto the Rich Razzleberry

Using R Razzleberry ink stamp the sentiment on the lefthand side of the strip. The sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases Set stampset.

Next using the Paisley framelits dies cut 4 of the motif that resembles a leaf with five points in Copper foil. Arrange as you can see in the picture so they look like a cross and glue to the right hand side of the strip.

Hope you like it and if you need a sympathy card it isn't too difficult a make and has real impact.

As always, supplies are below.
Happy Stamping!

Morning Everyone

Well, as promised on Wednesday, here is my card that went a little "Off Piste". Did you know that some of our dies and thinlits not only cut through paper but in some cases felt, fabric & hessian as well! Yep... they honestly do!

Here is the proof

You see the Hessian Hearts......? Well, I cut those out with the Sweet and Sassy framelits, I was tidying up my craft stash and came across this Hessian. Now I know most of you will understand where I am coming from..... I had the Hessian in my hand & was thinking hhmm..... I wonder if. So I gave it a try and there it was, 2 beautiful hearts cut out of Hessian. Now I had a dilemna, what was I going to do with them? Then my mind turned to the Serene Scenery Designer Series paper, I flicked through the stack & found a design perfect for the job. I then decided to pop a strip of the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate with the dots on to the top of the card. The little flower on the smaller heart is cut from the middle of the new Lace Doilies, those Doilies are great because one side is Very Vanilla and the other side is Whisper White, so you can match them to you project. You can also, sponge them with ink, to match them to any colour. I stamped the sentiment in crumbcake, directly onto the DSP. Then, I  got a bit "arty" and tied a twist of gold metallic ribbon (free during Sale A Bration when you spend £45), a twist of lace ribbon and some gold thread to make a type of corsage, which I fixed to the side of the heart with a glue dot. I popped a gold enamel shape into the centre of the flower and decided I had better quit while I was ahead! You know the old adage..."Less is More".

I stepped back, took a look at the card and was quite chuffed. Sometimes it pays to go off piste a little. Go on...Give it a try!

The supplies I used are detailed below, apart from the Hessian.....this I am afraid has been lurking in a dark corner of my stash for some time. You could also try this with felt is you happen to have any lying around. Failing that you could use our Crumbcake cardstock and emboss it with our woodgrain embossing folder, CLICK HERE
