Morning Everyone

Well where has the week gone? It is Thursday already..... a quick update on Lily, we took her to the Vet for an MOT yesterday evening and he spotted she has some broken teeth, which means she will have to have them removed under a general anaesthetic. At her age this is quite a big thing, but unfortunately there is no way round it. So fingers crossed, it isn't to much of an ordeal. Apart from that she seems relatively fine, a little arthritis we think in her legs, blood tests have been sent off we are awaiting results. So, all in all, things seem not too bad for the old girl and I must say she has settled in admirably to our little corner of the world.

Anyhow, onto today's card and I have really gone off piste for this one. Not my usual style at all. I was flicking through an old papercrafting magazine and I came across this layout and I was taken with it. So without further ado I decided to make this card.

What do you think?

Quite contemporary looking isn't it? Simple and fresh I think.

I used the Wood Textures DSP to line the bottom section of the card and then I decided to use the Daisy Delight DSP for the top section of the card. I used a strip of contrast paper for the mid section of the card, again, from the Daisy Delight DSP.

Using the Lovely Words thinlits, I cut out the word friend using Copper Foil. I cut a circle using the layering circles dies and stamped and embossed in white the word Hello from the Jar of Love stampset.

A final touch was the 3 hearts which I cut from copper foil using the mini treat bag thinlits.

There we have it, why don't you give it a try? Have a look through your crafty stash and see what you could use to make this card.

I have listed the products I used below and should you wish to buy any of them press on the image and it will take you through to my online shop. While you are over there take a look in the clearance rack, they have added some great bargains.... just sayin'.

Thanks for popping in today and Happy Stamping!
